Men’s Program DescriptionThe Teen Challenge residential program for men in Brooklyn, New York, offers help to men with drug and alcohol addiction. We accept men who are 17 years old and older (no upper age limit). Many of those who enter are in their 20s, 30s, or 40s.
Teen Challenge is a Christian faith-based program. Residents are not allowed to smoke or use any drugs or alcohol. Prescription medication is carefully monitored. During the first 4 months, residents can only leave the premises of Teen Challenge when under staff supervision.
Daily activities include classes in a Bible-based curriculum, individual and group counseling sessions, work projects, and recreation.
The residential program is intensive and disciplined, yet administered with the love of God. These elements together have helped thousands of drug addicts find freedom from their addictions.
A typical day in the Teen Challenge program involves an early wakeup, classroom work, Bible reading and discussion, work duties, counseling, and lots of prayer.
The men’s residential program is designed to be completed in 12-18 months. The First Phase (Induction Phase) of the men’s program, in Brooklyn, takes 4-6 months to complete, based on the assessment of the student’s progress.
